Make-up when you're in a hurry: tinted moisturizer

For those hectic mornings when it seems like make-up is just not an option, here is a simple solution. Rather then using a traditional liquid or cream foundation opt for a tinted moisturizer, a.k.a beauty balm. Not only does it add the much needed moisture that the face needs but it also evens out the skin tone. Simply apply the tinted moisturizer all over the face using clean hands. Add mascara to your lashes, a little blush for a hint of color and finish off with your favorite lip balm. If necessary lightly powder the T-zone. It will save you time all the while leaving you looking fresh and beautiful.
Laura Mercier does a great tinted moisturizer for normal and oil prone skin. Here is a step by step tutorial for a quick and easy make-up look. Go on and give it a try!

Quick and easy wrapped ponytail

For those days when you're running behind schedule and there's not a lot of time to style your hair, a wrapped ponytail is the best way to go. Its a look that is so simple to achieve that its almost effortless. Not only that but its super chic too. With a brush pull all your back into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic hair tie, preferably one that matches your hair color. You can even tease your hair at the crown of the head just to add a bit of volume. Next take a very small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic so that it is concealed. Using a bobby pin secure the ends of the hair, that you wrapped around the elastic, underneath the ponytail. Take another bobby pin and criss cross it over the first one just to ensure it is secured in place. Smooth down the fly aways with a quick spritz of hair spray and your done. The end result is modern, put together and took no time at all. So go on and give it a try ;)   Watch my runway inspired ponytail tutorial for another version of a wrapped ponytail. Hope you enjoy!
